Below are answers to frequently asked questions regarding TOS subscriptions, customer information, and account maintenance. If you have a question that is not answered here, please write to service@theobjectivestandard.com.

Which issue will be the first of my subscription?

Your subscription will commence with the current issue. (If you prefer another arrangement, please email us.) New issues are published on the 15th of March, June, September, and December and remain the current issue until the publication of the next issue. Please expect your first issue to arrive within two to three weeks.

When should I expect to receive new issues of TOS?

New print issues of TOS are published and initially mailed toward the middle of our publication months: March, June, September, and December. Please note that while the postal monopoly claims to deliver periodical mail within ten days, it actually takes up to a month (yet another reason to give your friends, family, and politicians gift subscriptions to TOS).

The Online edition of TOS is posted on the 20th of our publication months; the E-book edition on the 25th; and the Audio edition on the 30th. Those who subscribe to our Kindle edition (via Amazon) should expect their new issues to be delivered on the 30th of our publication months.

What should I do if a print issue doesn't arrive?

If your print issue does not arrive within a month of its scheduled mailing (see above), either we may have made an error or the postal monopoly may have lost it. Please notify us at service@theobjectivestandard.com and we will send you another copy immediately.

How can I change my address, password, or other information?

Log in and click the small My Account link toward the right in the navigation bar. On the “My Account” page, you'll see a form containing your stored information. Make your changes, and click “Submit Changes." Please note that the address displayed here is the address to which we ship your print copy of TOS and/or other paper correspondence.

How can I get removed from your mailing list?

If you are a TOS customer, you can change your preferences regarding both the mail you receive from TOS and how we use your information by checking or un-checking the relevant boxes on your My Account page. If you are not a customer but are on our TOS News and Updates mailing list, you can remove yourself from the list here.
